Easy-Laser® E970/E975 Parallelism system use the traditional method where a laser beam is pointed alongside the machine, and then deflected 90 degrees towards the measurement object by a penta prism.
The prism is moved along the beam, which is deflected to each roll that is to be measured, and maybe aligned. Both ends of the roll are measured, and you get an angular value which is compared to the reference line (base line) or a reference roll. Besides paper machines, printing machines and rolling mills you can also measure and align rails, overhead tracks, metal sheet cutters and many other types of machines.
The E970/E975 is especially suitable when many objects are to be measured and aligned, and when measuring over a long distance. The maximum distance with a standard system is 80 metres, the number of measurement objects can be several hundred, but is more likely limited by other practical factors than the system software! The alignment of the rolls can be performed in live mode with instant feedback. You can add, remove and remeasure objects any time during measurement. The result is displayed both graphically and digitally in a table, and a PDF report can be produced directly on-site. Then transfer the results to your PC and the data base software EasyLink™ (included).
Versatile system for many different kinds of measurements
Easy-Laser® E970 is not only limited to parallelism measurement. You can also use the system to measure level, straightness and flatness on wire sections (suction boxes), flatness on foundations and straightness of rolls. With a few accessories you can also do shaft alignment. This makes the E970/E975 a very cost effective solution for your maintenance department.
FEATURES
Measurement programs
The featured programs below are the most common used with this system. Please click here for a complete overview of possibilities.
*=accessories needed
Parallelism*
For parallelism measurement of rolls, rails, overhead tracks, gantries, metal sheet cutters, production lines, etc. Two methods are available: measurement with Angular prism or with Angle detector E2.
|
Straightness measurement
With our program for measuring straightness, you can easily measure long shafts, rolls, bearings, bases, machine structures etc. All you have to do is define a number of measuring points, in advance or while measuring. You will be able to get the result for both the horizontal and vertical alignment, graphically as well as digitally.
|
Flatness measurement
Program to measure flatness/twist of (for example) machine bases, machine tables, etc. With advanced “best-fit” calculations.
|
Squareness
For measurement of squareness in machines and installations.
|
Smart functions
Measurement value filter
An advanced electronic filter function can be used to achieve reliable results even under poor measuring conditions. Air turbulence and vibrations from adjacent machines are no match for the Easy-Laser® filter function!

Templates
Save measurement files as templates, with machine data and settings, to quickly start measurements.

Multiple languages
The software is available in 14 languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Swedish, Finnish, Brazilian Portugese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (traditional and simplified).

Documentation
EasyLink™ PC software
With the EasyLink™ database program you can save and organise all your measurements in one place, produce reports with both data and images and export to your maintenance systems. You can customise what your Excel reports should look like and what data should be visible and where it should be positioned. The program has a clear folder structure, where you drag and drop files from the display unit to the database. Create your own structure with folders for manufacturer, department or machine type for example. The database can also be located on a common server and shared with other users. For extra safety you can use EasyLink™ to make backups of what you have saved in the display unit.

Save to USB memory
Save your files to USB and copy to other devices.

Save all measurements in the display unit’s internal memory.
|
Create a PDF report
When measurement is complete it is possible to generate a PDF report containing graphs and measurement data. All the information about the measurement object is documented, and you can add your company’s logo and address details if you so wish.

Make a printout
Quickly print all measurement data locally with a thermal printer (accessory).
